A drawing game to play with friends

A game that asks nothing of anyone
The biggest obstacle to a remote game night is setup. An account to create, a client to download, a version that does not match: half the group drops out before playing.
Retusch runs in the browser. Your friends click a link, type a nickname and find themselves at the table. There is nothing to install, nothing to create, and it works as well on a computer as on a phone.
Something else that matters in a group: nobody is left out for not being able to draw. The game does not ask you to depict anything, only to make a square match what surrounds it. The person who draws badly but observes well often wins.
Inviting, in practice
Create a room from the home screen. Uncheck “public room” if you want to stay among yourselves: the invite link then becomes the only way in.
Copy the link with the button provided, then paste it into your group chat, your voice channel or your messaging app. It contains the room code: your friends land straight at your table.
You can set the game up while people arrive: the mode, the number of rounds, the drawing time, the size of the square and even the image categories. Nothing is locked until you start.
One person pays, everyone plays
Two modes are free forever: the shared hunt, which is the default, and stream mode.
The others will become paid, but only when CREATING a game. Joining will stay free, with no conditions. In practice, it takes a single person in the group to have unlocked the game for the whole table to enjoy every mode, with no account and nothing to pay.
Unlocking is a one-off purchase, with no subscription.
Which mode for which group
With three or four players, the shared hunt is enough and is understood within one round. From six players up it becomes genuinely good: discoveries come one after another and the screen never stops moving.
To close an evening, try battle royale: the table empties round after round and the last one is a duel. For a mixed group, where some would rather draw quietly, contest removes all the pressure of the hunt clock.
